Hi good folk:) Recently, I began a fiction tale about a meeting of all the Gods on Earth throughout history, in a place ‘out-of-time’ - as they say Heaven & other mysterious eternal places are situated. Researching the various Gods our planet has, now caused alien thoughts to be born. In fact, I found, the Aboriginal [ancAu = ancient Australian] peeps of Oz, are the oldest surviving people on the planet. Which then says, their God or Gods are the oldest we know of. However, no modern people acknowledge such fact. Whatever/however it is treated contemporarily, ‘The Dreaming’ lasted incredibly well for over 65+K years in maintaining the balance needed to have a healthy home and planet.

The other thought was/is, because we have and had so many different Gods, in different parts of the world, that it seems as though we created them, rather than the other way around. IE: Each God was/has attributes of the civilisation they were ‘born’ in.

I can tell you fer-surely, that prayer to any of them doesn’t work. Most people in the various religions want peace & help for the downtrodden or in active peril. Yet, people have been praying for any or all Gods to intervene in man’s violent and arrogant ways since we formed groups way, way-back. Some Christian folk on FB in Oz, asked me to join them in online prayer to heal and clean the waters around Fukushima’s awful disaster. I responded by explaining that any person with half-a-brain [I did put it much more tactfully than that] would understand that it would be no good to miraculously clean the waters there, if someone could and are - doing it again/yet, in the hope an earthquake, flood or other natural disaster doesn’t break another one. Which seems quite illogical to me as we are all living on moving, floating land-masses,

I understand the human need for a higher being. I too felt the pull toward a religion, until I realised how arrogant I was being in telling other folk they were wrong in their spiritual beliefs. However, my short 71 years has revealed a planet that is perhaps the only one in our universe that birthed life. It is to be revered and cared for, maintained as it was meant to be - as my people did and enjoyed such lifestyle for an extremely long time. No ‘Gods’ seem to be concerned inna least, TBH ☹
