# Neil Thomas writes another apparently-quite-insane book

I may be idiosyncratic in my viewpoint, but the first question this kerfuffle raised in my mind is “why a professor of German Literature ‘taught Darwinism for Decades’?” (As the title of Andrew McDiarmid’s S&C piece suggests.)

Agree with it or disagree with it, _what_ does “Darwinism” have to do with German Literature?

It seems that this title has nothing to do with the article’s contents, but is simply there to leave the false impression that Thomas has any idea whatsoever about what he’s talking about.

But, as the recently-departed @Lee_Merrill [has told us](https://discourse.peacefulscience.org/t/evidence-for-the-integrity-of-the-discovery-institute/15600), the DI are “forthright and people of integrity”, so there must be some other explanation.
