Practice of science as illustrated by flat-earth 'debate'

I found an interesting YouTube video that covers the practice of science which touches on the philosophy of science and how ideas progress within the discipline. It uses the advocacy of Flat-Earth Theory as an example of pseudo-scientific work.

Along the way, I learned a new phrase “JAQing off”. That is short for “Just Another Question-ing”, which describes the issue of confusing questions & uncertainty in some areas with support for another hypothesis. The video also describes the need for alternate hypotheses to positively account for existing observations and demonstrate applicability.
