Ann Gauger: Did the Human Brain Evolve?

First note that I am not a biologist. So my comment was from a layman’s perspective.

As far as I know, the reproductive cells are relatively isolated, so that most of what goes on in the body does not affect them. That’s what makes your idea implausible.

I did not think you could.

How did your “mind–>think–>POOF” as yet imaginary mechanism affect only germline cells?

What are the chemical reactions sent to DNA, and how does it change DNA sequence? More importantly, where are these neurons in gonads and how do they change the DNA sequences found in gametes?

You haven’t presented a mechanism that can be dismissed. Until you have a mechanism you have nothing other than an idea, one which doesn’t seem to have much explanatory power or evidence supporting it.

I am baffled as to why you think neuronal activity can specifically change DNA sequences in gametes. Before you claim it is really important you need to come up with some evidence. You are putting the cart before the horse.
