I want to say that I respect Joshua and his goals for this site. This particular topic, the relationship between information theory and biology, has been explored since “information theory” first made its appearance on the scene. It has a long history since then. Perhaps we can learn something from that history.
Yes, as I have a background in information theory as it applies to communication systems and NONE as it applies to biological systems, I am interested in learning at least something about the subject.
I think it’s about injecting information into the experiment. In animal breeding, the breeder act as a halting Oracle…
In evolution, there is supposed to be no such thing.
Pat Robertson is not so much an authority as an exemplar - - that someone with a very deep attachment to Biblical authority reached a conclusion that is shared by @swamidass!
This is evidence that @swamidassIS THE NEW midpoint between Evangelical Creationists and BioLogos!
Joshua’s arrival with PeacefulScience.org in the last year completely disrupts the expectation that BioLogos would somehow become a viable midpoint between Science and Religion. But now that we have PS’s “dual creation scenarios” to consider… why would most any stripe of Evangelical creationist walk past PS.org to embrace BioLogos?
