My reply was a rhetorical response to your satire. 
They certainly show a lot of signs of believing that evolutionary biology argues for linear progress of a single lineage towards all-round perfection. And when mutations occur, they think that they bring about “devolution” – a term not used by evolutionary biologists but commonly used by creationists.
I have seen that term used by biologists at times…
Mainly Scottish ones?
