Not when you realize that prayers are not, as indicated earlier, quarters, and that God is not a vending machine. He is my Father in heaven, and I trust his judgment to deal with me in such a way as is good for both him and me, and whomever else. He is a wise and loving Father, and his children may petition him (he wants them to), and he is more likely to grant petitions to those whose hearts and purposes are aligned with his.
It might even mean my mortal death:
John 12:25 Whoever loves his life will lose it, but whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
(‘Hate’ in that context is hyperbole, or it may be proportionate, similar to Pascal’s wager, and analogous to Jim Eliot’s “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”)
I think you are the one who has a problem with reality.
I have nothing more to add to this discussion.
You have no choice but to think that because you have artificially (not consciously, necessarily) limited the range of evidence you will consider.
Really, I have a firm grasp on reality. And as I look around it is pretty good. It is a great time to be alive.

But I’m happy to be alive now, too. It is the perfect time and place for me, and you would not believe all the co-instants (amazing timing!) involved in landing me here. I had never thought to count them up before, but it will be in the dozens, I’m pretty sure (not that I’m going to do it right now, or that you care Ü).

The anti-evolution crowd at the Discovery Institute are on par with YEC’s and Geocentrists. They misrepresent science throughout Strobel’s book.
I haven’t read either book, but given Strobel’s other work I don’t expect much from it.
Wallace works directly with forensic evidence.

Then perhaps a new thread dealing with that forensic evidence is called for. I would hope that you have a good handle on that evidence and could present it to the larger audience.

The insults have stopped, which is good. The flood of irrationally is kind of Dale’s thing - he can keep this up all day. Trust me, I’ve been there. 
@All: I know Dale from Facebook, so I’ve been thru this before. Dale is a nice guy - give him a chance. His faith isn’t based on formal rationality, nor should it be. Don’t expect him to be rational in that sense. Dale is also good at confounding atheists, at least in his own terms.
Can anything be gained by talking to Dale? If so, what?
Maybe we should assign Dale and Byers to one thread by themselves. It would be an interesting experiment to see if the logic feedback goes open loop.
