Eating bats strikes me as a lot like eating frog legs. Not worth the effort! (Would you believe I found frog legs in the frozen food section of my local Walmart? Priced at $19.95 for 16oz, I think I’ll pass. I don’t even pay that much for Alaskan King Crab.)

The only thing I would like to say here is that although it seems likely that SARS-Covid19 virus was a de novo virus found in bats in Wuhan, it is not clear that the bat to human transfer was via eating bats. It could have been a bat peeped and droplets were breathed in by the unlucky human zero in that marketplace in November 2019.

Yes, and I look forward to my traditional heretical Good Friday dinner of pulled pork sliders and beer, sacrilegious in all three Abrahamic religions. Unfortunately, this year it has to be take-out only.

I agree, but no eating, no close proximity with bats at market to begin with.

Eating bats isn’t totally unusual.

Eat less bats.
