Yep. It’s a neat one. I’m into all the East Asian and Southeast Asian island birds. Lots of cool stuff there!

Have you ever taken a look at the hermit/Townsend’s warbler situation?

I don’t recall? There was however a very recent paper on mitochondrial capture in the copperback quail thrush in Australia and likely there are some weird things going on between Audubon and Mrytle warblers too. The unusual thing with Narcissus and Ryukyu flycatchers is that one species is a long distance migrant and the other is sedentary. The introgression is from the migratory species to the sedentary species.
