Quantitative vs. qualitative and its implications for materialism

What you are suggesting is not science.

Language is a mental construct that we can use to describe external reality (if that is our aim).

Well, maybe, but not relevant to “Quantitative vs. qualitative and its implications for materialism”.

Where have I discussed models previously? Certainly, mathematical modelling is a very powerful tool in the scientific toolkit. Boyle’s law describing the behaviour of a(n ideal) gas at constant temperature is simply a mathematical model of the observed behaviour that accurately describes the inverse relationship between pressure and volume. The behaviour is measurable and also predictable (within limits) using the mathematical model.
