Questions about population bottlenecks

Yes i do.
It just shows how insular westerners are.

A little care in teaching history at the high school level would have avoided this problem. How difficult is to to teach kids that the Swastika existed before 1940s and that it has a very different meaning?

I for one was taught that at school, but that knowledge doesn’t change the fact that its connection with Nazism is the first thing that I think of when I see the symbol. I don’t know why you’re struggling to understand the significance of Nazism in Western history.

Nothing wrong with that as long as you retain the capability to understand that the symbol was and continues to be used with other meanings by people and think before branding everyone who uses the symbol as a Nazi.
This is the same attitude which encourages people to treat Sikhs (Those who follow sikhism) as arabs and attack them (Nit that its right to attack someone for being Arab).

Besides, why blame a symbol for Hitler’s action. By that logic, Great Britain conquered many nations in the days of its empire, subjugating millions of people, stealing resources, selling opium, killing a lot of people over two centuries…
Should the monarch who is a symbol of Britain be reviled the same way the Swastika is?

This is really narrow thinking and i don’t see any need to respect it.
