My point is:
- There are many legitimate definitions of “human,” it is a polyvalent or polysemous term.
- By some definitions (e.g. scientific definitions) Adam and Eve are not the first “humans”
- By other definitions (e.g. a textual definition) Adam and Eve are the first “humans”
Yes, we are working out or own definitions, and we cannot expect universal agreement.
