Hesiod’s Prometheus arose out of a universe formed by the rivalries of deities, and in this case families of deities.

So, apparently, did Genesis, though it was recast into a rejection of other deities. Perhaps it retains some elements not consistent with the new story.

I’m afraid your précis was so abbreviated as to be useless. I can’t connect it with anything that tells me the snake lied.
