Welcome rtmcdge

Guys, you’re asking Bill Cole of his opinion on this already galactically stupid thread.

What would that achieve other than further cementing the most strongly empirically proven conclusion in human history, that Bill Cole is bonkers?

Ok, maybe having Bill Cole once again demonstrate to all rational observers that he has no reasonable take on anything is worth doing again.

But then, then you proceed to debate him on what he says.
Why? WHY? The man is nuts. Broken nuts. A fruitcake. Forget this lunatic. Save yourselves.

I was genuinely curious as to whether Bill would be unable to find fault in anything a fellow creationist said or did, even in a case as bad as this one. I probably could have guessed the answer. Anyway, my curiosity is satisfied.

Both Lynch and Behe’s papers were used to show how mutations are an unlikely explanation for the genetic transitions.

This is true and mentioned in one of Bechly’s threads RTM posted.

You mean his morphological challenge about hind legs evolving into tail flukes?

When asked to cut out the quote mining, he replied by going nuclear on quote mining, cutting and pasting huge tracts of other people’s quote mining.

When asked to provide time stamps for references from his endless videos, he demanded that we watch the whole thing for our edification. For his part, he offered no indication that he read or viewed anything offered in his direction.

We can strive for a civil tone, but there really is no level of balance so far as the evidence for a global flood and young earth is concerned. That is why there are no specifically YEC forums, that I am aware of, that even allow any sort of free discussion.

Sure he did but these quote mines had very little to do with the real arguments against the likelihood of UCD. Did anyone counter by pointing out Goulds real position?

I agree in a science forum trying to discuss a young earth is difficult given the current level of evidence. The argument was about UCD however which has lots of opportunity for scientific debate. Especially when we can go 500 comments on DDC (Deer common descent).

Since neither of them mentioned whales, how would you connect them to the subject?

What does “this” mean in that sentence?

Yes. Many people did.

And how many of the many awesome papers published over the last ~30 years did he address? Bill, even Mike Behe has quit beating that horse.
