Birth canals are different all over the world, countering a long-held evolutionary theory

It’s interesting how how variability patterns of birth canals mirror those of genetic variability, indicating an Out of Africa pattern.

Fascinating article, Patrick!

I was hoping to also find some studies on whether these various shapes allowed for relatively easier childbirth. For example, are there any notable differences in total duration of labor (or duration of particular stages of labor?)

I especially appreciated reading of how there is greater diversity in African populations versus in various other regions of the world, exactly what an out-of-Africa history would expect. Do anti-evolution advocates ever engage such data?
