This Fall and Winter, join us for a grand conversation on Faith Across the Multiverse with author, @AndyWalsh, hosted by Peaceful Science.

The Peaceful Science forum will host excerpts, discussion, and weekly office hours with Andy Walsh. Local in- person groups are also encouraged. Monthly video chats will bookend each section and provide a convenient drop-in option for those with busy schedules.

More detailed can be found on the flyer, which is free to distribute here: http://peacefulscience.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/FaithAcrossTheMultiverseBookClubFlyer.pdf. There are several ways to participate, so sign up and buy a book to join us.

Content Teaser

Chapter 0: The Power of Babelfish — The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Arrival introduce us to the
challenges of communication, even and especially when everyone thinks they speak the same language.

Chapter 1: This Chapter Has No Title — Professor Henry Jones, Jr. teaches us a little something about
paradoxes as we dig into questions of faith.

Chapter 2: The Hound of Heaven across the Multiverse — We get lost with Mark Watney of The Martian and
find out if the math of optimization can show us a way out of our sin.

Chapter 3: Sovereignty in a Time of Spanners — Scottish werewolf Rahne Sinclair shows us grace by helping
us understand chaos theory.

Chapter 4: The Kamala Khan Conundrum — Ms. Marvel illustrates the challenges of dual identities, so we turn
to quantum physics to understand how Jesus transcends them.

Chapter 5: A Conspiracy of Chronometers — Ender Wiggins shows us how to properly orient ourselves with
the right coordinate system; in special relativity, light defines that system and in Christianity Jesus defines it.

Chapter 6: The Entropic Principle — The Joker and Two-Face represent different forms of entropy, which can
tell us something about dying to live as Jesus did.

Conversation begins tomorrow with @AndyWalsh!

We had originally planned to discuss the second half of the book in upcoming weeks, with a similar format as before. Are folks still interested in that conversation, or has the moment passed? Thanks!
