I think Dennett might have got a kick out of some of the reactions from theists to his death:

I found Dennett’s book, Darwin’s Dangerous Idea, an interesting read. It got me thinking about the question of whether Darwin’s theory is destructive to the Christian faith [as Dennett argues] or whether it ia a friend of faith. To me, it’s the latter, but that does necessarily involve some hermeneutical adjustments as to how Christians understand scriptures’ creation accounts, i.e. that they are not “scientific” in the modern sense but theological, describing God’s relationship to His creation, including those pesky homo sapiens and their penchant for testing the limits of His grace.

I’d like to thank Daniel Dennett for some of the best advice I’ve ever read …

The link is broken. But I’m alert for any advice on Tim Horton’s.

Thanks, fixed!

Thanks, but I’m disappointed to find no mention of donuts or even bearclaws. Or beavertails. What about the beavertails?

Whenever I come across the consciousness is illusion-consciousness is real “debate,” I think of a Neil Young lyric that sums it all up–“I am just a dreamer, but you are just a dream…”

Here are some nice simple remembrances of Dennett, by a couple of philosophers:
