Yes, but my point is that for triangulation to work, the duration between time stamps at gravitational detector stations must vary depending on the direction of origin of the wave. The problem is that if light is held to be instantaneous from the source to observer for each station, the pattern of timestamps will not vary by direction, whether the clocks are synchronized or not. This has practical implications, as triangulation is really utilized to narrow the region of sky to search for possible light signatures for gravitational events.
