Gauger: Answering Art Hunt on Real Time Evolution

Because you stated his website has been inactive for four years. And also others were asking about who he thinks the designer is.

I don’t object to what you say at all. Because you frame it in a respectful way. Anyway, didn’t mean to ruffle any feathers.

I decline to participate in your invitation to engage in a rather obviously irrelevant pursuit. David Berlinski is, to my knowledge, either an agnostic or an atheist. Michael Denton is probably an agnostic.

Do you have any evidence to the contrary? More specifically, do you have any evidence at all that they think that “the designer” is God?

The truth, Patrick. The truth for its own sake, for the sake of truth, because truth is to be valued, even by evolved apes like you and I.

I asked a simple question I thought you might have an answer to. I don’t believe I’ve heard of an agnostic or atheistic ID proponent before, and I was intrigued. A simple “I don’t know” would suffice.

Denton might be an Agnostic. Is that right @T.j_Runyon? I think there are also some “friends of ID” that want to stick to scientists by aiding and abetting ID  (see EES and Third Way).

There is nothing wrong with this as long as Anne Gauger’s name can be replaced with any scientist in this forum and no one thinks their integrity is being questioned.

This is a generic statement that expresses a laudable ideal.

You can’t handle the truth.

I take comfort in the fact that am not alone in that regard.

There is a massive amount of evidence showing that ID is just a dressed-up version of creationism.

That being said, some creationism is not ID.

You can always count on Mung to be there with a big NUH-UH! any time evidence against ID’s nonsense claims are presented.

If so, why wasn’t it presented in the Dover trial?

Is that a rhetorical question? Shall we all just take your word for it? You being a recognized authority and all.

No. Why not answer it?

Because you already know the answer. My “is that a rhetorical question” was a big hint that even you should not have been able to miss.

As someone from the outside, with no particular “horse in this race,” I don’t feel like those asking you questions are “determined not to understand.” It seems like they were asking some pretty straightforward questions, but I didn’t get a sense that you were replying directly to those. Maybe you don’t feel like you need to, and that’s fine, but I hope you would return at some point.

Finally, an independent witness who can be trusted!

It seems that this was previously discussed

It’s hard to get a feel for him sometimes. But I think he would fall into the deist camp
