Gauger: Answering Art Hunt on Real Time Evolution

It’s a very strange custom, I must say. I have belonged to several groups and forums over the years, and have never encountered one where the admins will choose names to call you that will appear on your every post. It’s particularly strange given how Joshua almost fetishizes the idea of being open to other’s positions and giving them the benefit of the doubt. Prejudicing readers from the outset by calling someone a name seems quite contrary to that.

100% this. This labeling stuff really just serves as a way for people to dismiss each other out of hand.

Unless I am mistaken, “atheist” seems to be the most commonly specified religious position or denomination that is used in these names. I find few people called “Christian”, for example. Not even Joshua call himself that.

I personally like the names, although yours is extreme. I’ll take Christian in my title. Just so it’s not anti Athiest Christian🥴

I was given the title “agnostic mathematician” which is fine with me. But I somehow accidentally deleted that when testing out profile settings.

I do notice that there’s a place in the profile called “about me”, and maybe moderators could consider what you enter there for a person’s title

I see I am now an “Anti-Creationist Atheist Physician.” I guess that’s fine. If you wanted to list my specialty, I’m a psychiatrist. Up to you.
