Have you heard of the "glycome"?

It seems that the DNA is not the only game in town. There is an intricate code created using Sugar molecules which identifies the different cells in our body. Each cell has its own signature style sugar coating which differentiates it from other cells in the body.

So sharing an article on the Glycome.
I don’t know about you guys, but my reaction on reading this is Praise God!

I’ve been tired of seeing the word “code” attached to all things biological for a while now.

I’ll happily praise Him for the beautiful complexity of living organisms, but not for allowing people to use the word “glycome”

Just another meme infecting your brainome.

Dangit, now that’s going to get stuck in my brainome! I just heard a talk tonight and got annoyed at “lipidome”.

This one seems appropriate… its main function seems to be similar to a barcode.

The “omeome” (pronounce OHM-OHM, of course) is the power set of all “omes,” otherwise known as biology.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

That was just a mean thing to do…

Don’t confuse that with the ohmome, the set of all units named for people, or the omome, the set of all mantras.

Or the ohnome, the set of all possible mistakes.
