ID : the modern equivalent of the Alchemists!

In the 1500s and 1600s, there wss a blossoming of the study of nature that involved prayerful preparations and purifications prior to lab work… along with a confidence in a Christian investigation of the natural order. It was what is commonly known as Alchemy. Some Alchemists even had a prayer tent right in their work room.

In those times, Chemistry and Alchemy meant the same thing. But over time, what became mainstream science found it increasingly necessary to aggregate religious ideas of the natural order to “Alchemy”… while those methods and techniques stripped of religious context were aggregated to what we would now call “Chemistry”!

The fact that there is an attempt in today’s age to being God back to the study of nature shouldnt really be surprising!
