Believe it or not, as I prepare to leave for a dinner meeting, the NPR topic on the radio at this moment is a discussion of whether a racehorse has ever been shaven to improve speed.
The expert consulted said “Probably not”, as changing the appearance of a horse is discouraged and such a horse would be susceptible to sunburn.
I am posting this topic for no other reason than the mental image of a shaved racehorse possibly amusing someone.
