JAMA journal meets A.I

Of course, this is the Journal of the American Medical Association.

I’m not surprised.

I’ve read that they’re having good initial success at having AIs identify certain conditions. Two that I’ve taken particular note of is identifying skin cancers (I’ve an appointment to have a small “atypical lesion” – which was diagnosed remotely by a dermatologist based on photos, removed from my back next week) and retina damage (I have diabetes, and have my retinas photographed for related damage every 18 months).
