No one is claiming that it is true. What they are claiming is that it is what they want. Just because something isn’t true in an objective fashion does not mean it is less important to that person. A husband doesn’t need objective proof that his wife is beautiful, for example.
I embrace the reality that the meaning of life is subjective. Why is that a problem?
And we could decided as a society that locking up a pedophile is good.
I was giving my opinion of the quality of your argument, and it is not an ad hominem fallacy. If you think locking up pedophiles is fascist or racist then I don’t think you understand how human morality works nor do you understand what fascism and racism is.
. . . why pedophilia is immoral. It has to do with harm to children.
. . . what fascism or racism is. Locking up criminals through a just judicial system is not the same as a totalitarian political system that condones violence to further political goals, nor is it the same as denying basic human rights to people based on their skin color.
Correct. When that meaning of life involves hurting other people then it is the right of human society to stop them. It’s not that tough to figure out.
One that apparently hurts others which gives human society the right to lock him up. Again, this is the simple moral philosophy and I don’t understand why you are struggling with it.
…or anyone’s [whose] self-defined/self-proclaimed meaning/purpose in life is unfulfilled with no hope or expectation of it being so? (Who is struggling? )
