Thanks for the interesting link, Patrick! This hints at the idea that widespread migrations and inter-mingling between human societies in prehistoric times could yield a human MRCA (most recent common ancestor) dating back to maybe 10-12kya. Which is one of the key points of @swamidass GAE book.
Of course, this data would not argue for a single ancestor rather than a large ancestral population, an issue which is settled by other kinds of data.
