Question for genetics minded folks

Is there a term for a trait that isn’t necessarily beneficial nor harmful (though it could be) but it is a by product of a trait that is beneficial?

An example: there are studies that suggest the genes that contribute to homosexuality are beneficial in heterosexual males. Homosexuality may or not be beneficial (evolutionary speaking. There are studies that suggest it actually increases fecundity in females).

Just trying to figure out the term for a trait like that.
