The Abuse of Science by Scientists?

You were not being fair in describing IDs stand. I don’t believe you are being intentionally dishonest. But what you said was factually incorrect.
As to NASA scientists…How is that relevant…
Some Scientists do promote panspermia though…

@Ashwin_s

And yet @JoeG does?

You are no more responsible for Joe’s error than I am for scientists who mistreat Creationists.

I don’t hold you responsible… I hold them responsible for their actions… didn’t I say that before?
What exactly are we arguing about George?

You told me not to defend mean ol scientists. But I choose to EXPLAIN them… not defend the per se.

Let them explain themselves if they feel the need. Why should you take the burden.

Are you now saying many scientists don’t use derrissive language when referring to ID Scientists?
Or are you trying to console yourself saying I am a bad guy…?

@Ashwin_s

I am saying that anyone who won’t (or who cant) recognize the conceptual difference between instantaneous special creation of a human…

Vs. Creation of humans via evolution over millions of years…

Is probably not a good judge of character either.

This is just more ID jiggery-pokery. It makes no sense and then always ends attacking the science that has given humans of the world great benefits in their lives.

Disagreeing with one particular theory in science is not attacking science…
What you are doing is making ID a scape goat… it’s always a tactic used before subverting principles of Justice.

I am not making ID a scape goat. I am saying that ID doesn’t even belong in the discussion of anything. It is nothing more than a few zealots trying to insert their amorphous, intelligence, God but not really God, into gaps of knowledge that science is rapidly closing.

You are entitled to your opinion. I think you are talking out of ignorance…
Have you looked at any of their papers ?

I am not talking out of ignorance. Yes, I had read most of their papers and conclude that they are total rubbish.

OK fair enough… name one that you have read and tell me why you think it’s rubbish.

The court proceedings of Dover. Why, I think it’s rubbish, because I happened to agree with the Judge’s assessment of ID is creationism which is religion and not science.

You haven’t read most of the papers as you claimed…Got it…
And you concluded they are rubbish without reading them… I call that ignorance.

That’s a gratuitous put down. Not a reasoned argument.

Tempers are flaring. Let’s relax, step back, and try again.

Guys and gals, today is my birthday. This whole past year I have been fighting Cancer and that tends to put things into perspective. The origin discussions are interesting, yes. But in the long run, and Im sure some will disagree, whatever theory of origins is correct is irrelevant. Discuss and debate. But stop making everything personal. And i know im guilty of it sometimes but just please be respectful and kind to each other.

Yes it is.

@JoeG your limit has been lifted. Just keep things on topic within each thread.
