Okay I am willing to accept that time had a beginning at the epoch of inflation.
Christianity is not primarily about a moral life.
But not that it is evidence for God. Got it.
Which God?
A strict adherence to primary atheist doctrine, as stated above.
You do realize that Babylon Bee is satire.
No! Really?
You’ll like this one:
Yes I enjoy reading Babylon Bee. They can be quite humorous in their satire of Christians and other religions.
…is authored by Christians. ![]()
It was more of a challenge than an invitation, wasn’t it.
Then you haven’t been paying attention.
The second sentence is what I was looking for. Thanks.
So instead of talking about scientific research that could be done, you instead focus on conspiracy theories. That isn’t helpful.
Rosa Parks actually got on the bus. You can’t claim that there is discrimination against ID grants if no one writes one.
It would seem that you are determining guidance based on the result of the mutation instead of the mutation itself, correct?
At least to me, this reeks of confirmation bias. It’s like saying that all losing poker hands were unguided, but the winning poker hands were guided, even though both were produced through the same method. Even when we are watching the mutations happen right in front of us, you are saying that the mutations are guided if they result in something beneficial.
In my example, we are talking about mutations that are happening right in front of us. They aren’t hypothetical steps, but directly observed steps. You seem to be saying that if something beneficial evolves in front of our eyes then this is evidence that the mutations were guided simply because they resulted in something beneficial. Is this correct?
Nice to hear from you.
There were mutations involved in this, I expect, and there was definitely design, as well (remembering that God’s providence takes disparate events and timing and infuses them with meaning… by design): cancer
How did you determine that there was design?
They try to be. They’re not particularly funny though.
Indeed many do that, but that would be bad philosophy. As a college student majoring in computer science, I used to think philosophy was a bunch of blathering navel-gazing. And in many instances, it is that. It wasn’t until later that I came to see the importance of clear thinking about the truth about reality.
That is why good philosophy is a necessity. As CS Lewis put it, " Good philosophy must exist , if for no other reason, because bad philosophy needs to be answered."
By all the ‘co-instants’. I know who is in charge of time and place, timing and placing. It may have been Einstein who said, “Coincidence is God’s way of staying anonymous.” Rightly put it is, “Coincidence is one of God’s ways of saying, ‘Here I AM!’” “Co-instants” and “co-instance(s)” are my substitute terms denoting “not a chance!”
