And the point isn’t if the math doesn’t add up. The question is does meters or Light matter. the M and 900,000,000 may work or it might really be 1 billion x M = Joules. The point is. speed of light may have absolutely no bearing on the internal workings of the atom to suggest that its speed is determinate. Its not like you could fly one direction and come to a dead stop and remove the mass from something by dropping out of warp. LoL. Captain. I cant find my Drawers. Physicists are very careful about this sort of thing. The equation works with any consistent set of units.

Its a side show. The real issue is Divine intervention. So do some of your own… You tell me how does the speed of light and mass create the amount of energy it produces in Joules?
It doesn’t create anything. E=mC^2 is an equation. The units of energy are mv^2, which is why the equation has the same units on both sides. You could use any units you like as long as they’re consistent, cgs, mks, pounds/miles/hours, doesn’t matter. You get the same results.
So was “Eisenstein” a conscious joke on your part, or was it accidental as with (apparently) the great majority of your malapropisms?
I guess it would matter if you had an equation with light involved somewhere else but its not like that. It could be 300,000,000 Elephants squared. Now if the weight of the elephant mattered then it would all explode… But Meters is not involved in the math. its just the numbers of mass in KG that matters.
Taking ‘m’ as 1 kg. 1 kg of matter = E = mc2 = 1 x c2 = 1 x (3 x 108) 2 = 9x1016 Joules = 25 x10 9 kWh, that is 25.0 billion kilowatt-hours.
Light has nothing to do with it. It just disappears and isn’t part of it.

I cant remember the 3rd one, but the 4th is he comes home and says, hey, my brother wants me to look at a lot to buy to put a car lot on. Can you come with me to check it out… I said sure. After that we see a hitch hiker… We pick him up. I honestly should think about it more and do more. Now that I reflect on it. It happens so often I should be more responsible. If you are not “in the life” its not the same.
I can partly agree with that.
It has to do with Maxwell’s equations, which show that there should be electromagnetic waves. And if you computer the speed of that wave motion, it turns out to be about the same as the measured speed of light. This is why we have concluded that light is electromagnetic.
The speed that we get out of Maxwell’s equations is related to our system of measurement, particularly measurement of electrical and magnetic properties. So the c in E=mc^2 is not just an arbitrary big number. There is strong science behind it.

Thank you. You are the first person to suggest that maybe light in some way is related to the cause of the mass. The thing is What is Light. in that case… is it per square inch? or per square meter. the speed is what is focused on. Not the content of the light or the amount of light traveling to relate it to and effect that could be related to a KG.

This is where people generally fail they accept something without digging into it. At least you are seeing the mechanical side of the equation. Which makes me think about what sort of wavelength. if there is some action inside atoms and 1KG has X amount of action at the speed of light what action is that. And am I chasing something that is just not there. And that is why I am saying, so far, I see no reason to add meters into the equation so its not really C its not even speed… Its just a number. Until someone like yourself can crack that open… Otherwise, Einstein and Joules was pulling a fast one on mankind. The equation works, but the Light business is crap maybe he was right but I have a feeling he did not know why. Or all the bright perky people here would know why exactly and say why.
Nobody ever will. Joules are defined by kilograms x (meters/second)^2. C is a velocity that can be expressed in meters/second. If you wanted your result in ergs, you would count mass in grams and C in centimeters/second. How hard can this be to understand? C has nothing special to do with light. It appears as a constant in many physics equations, including Maxwell’s.
ITs interesting to conceive of light in relationship to work performed. And if that is so, if a KG is converted in just light how much light is that and in what wavelength. And if you converted the numbers I don’t think the equation would work.
Scott, sincerely, you are a good story teller and I’m sure you would be very entertaining to meet in real life.
But I’m struggling to see the divine interventions. I’m seeing your perception of events that don’t require any supernatural explanation.

your right. they don’t need divine intervention. Events can happen like that. They call it coincidence. Like going on holiday on a cruise only to see your neighbor 2 doors down on the same cruise in the next cabin beside you. Coincidences happen. So really you couldn’t know one from the other.
Now, most times when I figure its not is when the coincidence is pretty strange and there is some other factor.

Its so bad some times that while sharing my faith with a Preachers daughter when they visited the job site, I had the christian radio station on. I was on a roll one day and I was trying to encourage an old friend who worked with me on a few jobs for cash. We were shingling a roof just around the corner from my house. And : pause. (I just realized I might be an encourage. Its a spiritual gift. In a list of gifts.) who knew… But anyways, So Len, who is dead now needed some encouraging and I was joking around and I had only 10 shingles left to finish the roof. it was a cottage style roof. And I nailed a piece on the left and because we were talking I saw a piece and nailed it on the right. and then said bugger. now I have a space in the middle. And I said to him. Lets see if God is with me today. I grab a full shingle and drop it down and it fits exactly square on both sides between the two shingles. I don’t know if I could repeat that 10 times but that is exceptional to be able to do that. Its a little more than parallel parking. I have had the same thing happen with lumber needing a piece and it fits exactly snug in the spot but that can randomly happen over the number of times I cut wood one is bound to be the right size.
