Well, not really that impressed. Dalrymple talks about the difficulty of dating young eruptions. So many times the numbers are skewed. But in fact he was able to date some known young eruptions correctly. I was pretty impressed with a line I read in one of his papers.
For this 150 kya dating I would still like to know the mineral used.
So wow. If that number holds and if it is in fact true, this will be the first time I have seen plant life pushed back that far. My paradigm may have to be adjusted a little.
