This is really cool, but as a total layman, I’m curious as to how accurate an approximation like this is. Would the experts here have high expectations that a Neanderthal would confidently identify this reconstruction as a member of his/her population, or would we expect them to sense something a bit off about the depicted features? I’m not even sure how answerable a question that is.
