Forgotten Moments in the History of Science

Can we share this one?

Yes. Now that I’ve worked out a not-so-tedious procedure for putting my trademark, name, and copyright on each cartoon, anyone may share them with individuals (as in specific friends/family/colleagues.) However, I am not yet ready for them to be posted on general social media so that lots of people can see them. (Prior to that, I want to set up a web-presence somewhere that can show my full catalogue and perhaps look for publication opportunities. One of my plans in old age has been to explore publishing a syndicated cartoon series, sort of a “The Far Side” for academics/scientists.)

Once these are shared elsewhere, there isn’t much controlling what others may do. I’ll hold off for now.

True, but I am OK with someone printing out a cartoon and putting it on their office door, for example I don’t know if people still do that. It was very common on faculty office doors in my day (back in the 1970’s and 1980’s) but I know such practices can be “cultural” and perhaps it is no longer considered “dignified.” Of course, my Robert Boyle flatulence joke might not create a great impression with some stick-in-the-mud killjoy of whom there always seems to be at least one on every tenure committee.
