Last I heard he’s going to be leading the CDC. But it’s clear to me there’s no-one home in his head. The worm has actually fully taken over the controls. He’s a corpse being animated by an invasive species.
We’ll know for sure when he recommends a dirt-diet.
This is frightening indeed. Not long ago the idea of Kennedy running the CDC was just a late night comedy monologue punch line.
I can’t imagine what it would be like for a career staffer at the CDC to have to work under not only a “perhaps you could try bleach” President but a not-just-clueless but downright anti-science CDC Director.
And in the meantime, The Commonwealth of Kentucky, that has gifted the USA the likes of Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul, James Comer, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Park, may soon add Thomas Massie to this (woeful) list.
Oh my. Thomas Massie is one of the [insert the plural of your favorite term for a very uninformed/unintelligent person] who promote the alleged benefits of raw milk. I used to live in the State of Washington where the government allows various loopholes in the law so people can get access to unpasteurized milk. The state also allows the sale of raw juices—as long as it is sold/served directly by the farmer and there is “full disclosure.”
Every so often there is an outbreak of sickness from these raw products:
But there are a lot of people in Washington who push their politicians to allow for these “healthful” commodities, so campylobacteria and E. coli outbreaks are news on a recurring basis.
Btw, isn’t a lot of this stuff actually patented, produced, and sold by pharmaceutical companies?
Anyone catch the contradiction here, compared with his vaccine shite? He seems to suggest with his anti-vaccine apologetics that the FDA has allowed too many unsafe and insufficiently tested drugs to be foisted on the american people.
But when it gets down to it, he’s going to deregulate. To allow actually untested drugs on the american people. As a braindead republican paid to advance the interests of large corporations instead of voters, he probably thinks the FDA is suppressing businesses by not approving and licensing all sorts of unproven crap.
He is speaking out of both sides of his mouth. On the one hand, selling the view that he’s looking to protect americans from untested drugs (which he asserts vaccines are among), but he will be dismantling the agency that … protects americans from untested drugs, giving “Pharma” free reign. The whole thing is a smokescreen. It’s just one big excuse for destroying the institution protecting the american consumer from pharmaceutical companies, because in the end he’s serving his corporate masters: The pharmaceutical companies. The only thing standing in their way is the FDA.
Why can so many of the american people not see through this? Why do they fall for these charlatans every time?
But on second thought maybe there’s no contradiction here? RFK thinks that the FDA is rushing approval of some drugs like vaccines, and preventing the approval of things that “can’t be patented by Pharma.” As wrong as he is, I’m not sure there’s an inconsistency in his own thought.
My dad was an oral surgeon who did his residency at Mayo’s in the 50s. He was on the vanguard of fluoridation in the 60s and history has vindicated his efforts. Along with dental hygiene education and semi-annual check-ups, fluoridated water is the one of the most important components to good dental health, which in turn dramatically effects overall health. I am guessing that Bobby Kennedy is rolling in his grave in response to the embarrassment his attention-seeking, provocateur of a son junior has become.
I see what you mean. The contradiction is not necessary as it is possible to do both. But knowing how historically republican games are played, it’s rather obvious this is what is going to happen.
“Pool water” is an extremely broad and ambiguous description. You can have a hundred pools with a hundred very different chemistries (i.e., combos of chemical compounds.) So where are you headed with this? Please be specific.
And as with @Rumraket, I have no idea how this relates to fluoride.
