That would be doing laps.
The chlorine concentration in swimming pools should be about 1-4 ppm. Thatās similar to the amount in drinking water (perhaps a little higher).
FWIW, in the pools where I worked during summer breaks from school, we typically used chlorine gas as the source of that disinfectant. Note that molecular chlorine (gas) converts to hypochlorite (OCl-) and chloride (Cl-) ions in water. Organic chloride compounds can also be generated over time.
Weād also control pH with soda ash (calcium carbonate) which again, is not all that different from what water treatment uses.
So drinking pool water, particularly early in the day before a lot of people have used it doesnāt seem like much of a risk. Probably better than the lake water where people also swim.
