Some personal beliefs and morals may stem from genetics

Is there a gene for becoming an evolutionist?

As an amateur humorist, I refuse to swing at the easy ones!

So… Lamarck was right? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

To me, this sounds like EP (evolutionary psychology).

I have a low opinion of EP.

There is no genetic origin for morals or beliefs. Its unreasonable and impossible and unbiblical .
If it was so then from this reasoning they could make race and sex and everything genetic like. and they did and do.
So genetic ideas about human influence should be consistenly rejected by creationists, evolutionists and good guys everywhere.

It almost seems like a given. Maybe there’s some importance to nailing this thing down. But does anyone really doubt that there are at least some genetic factors which could contribute to things like “children’s responsibility during adolescence and conscientiousness during young adulthood”?

There are so many ifs and buts to the article that it looks a bit too much like speculation…
They make the really important statement towards the end of the click bait article -

Ramos said. “Genes simply give you a potential. People still make their own choices and have agency in shaping who they become.”

I guess they are not throwing free will out of the window just yet!.
