I have been suspecting this all along. That is to say, I have been skeptical of much that I have seen reported that is based on brain scans.

A neuroscientist I know acknowledges the weakness of MRI used alone as a research tool. Similarly the use of EEG alone is limited. Combine the two and you have a powerful research tool.
