You understand this, but anti-lockdown people I discussed this with at the time did not. That was my point. They actually never even indicated that they had thought about it let alone understand the implications.
These implications are that shielding the care givers is just as impossible as shielding the vulnerable. Of course measures could be taken to reduce the risk of infection of the care givers, but that could never become zero. It also would require draconian measures such as splitting up families and effectively making care givers prisoners in the care homes. Would you think that such measures would be considered acceptable? I donāt think they would be, and I very much doubt that any government would have introduced such measures. The bottom line would be that one way or another lots of people in care homes would get infected and die.
Maybe Iām totally out of order but I suspect that a lot of the anti lockdown people didnāt really care about that. We live in a very āIām allright, Jackā society today, alas.
