If any of you ever have a few hours to spare (i.e. waste), falling down the Flat Earth rabbit hole on YouTube is fascinating. If nothing else, you will learn some new things about planetary and orbital mechanics. For example, why doesn’t the vacuum of space suck all the air off of the Earth? The equator of the Earth is spinning around at 1,000 mph, so why don’t people go flying off into space (fun one for lab people who calculate g in a centrifuge)?
This is @PdotdQ’s special hobby.
