Something I hadn’t known before: there’s a hybrid individual with a neandertal mother and a denisovan father.

Yes, that was a very surprising find in 2018. It is getting more and more certain that there were many species of humans in the world prior to 40,000 years ago. Only one species of human remain now with most of us still having DNA remnants of these other species in our genomes.
