Of course, this is a tricky area of semantics. I would have added just one additional phrase:
“Among our billions of ancestral connections, how is it scientifically reasonable that we all could be descendants from a single couple - - as well as descendants from other universal ancestral couples! - - who lived in the past 10,000 years?”
