The intro to this website sours,on the idea of “theism” saying that Jesus is the only answer…dont remember the exact semantics. I can make no sense of this as belief is of a foundational element. Sorry about that
Funny, one of our church plants is using a building for servives previously used as a for profit institution. And how much you want to bet that the church turned restaurant morphed into a gospel irrelevant and a theologically inept place before it folded!

Is that lemonade they serve at your bar? You have a sense of humor in all of this, but i dont look at the sly mockery of the church,which is not a building i might add, as anything humorous sir. You might try going to a healthy gospel centered church and meet the leadership sometime. There are no more balanced, rational, loving people on the planet! They say however dont join a perfect church cause youll ruin it! So we are still imperfect people just like the rest of the world. But we serve a perfect God who is perfectly holy, perfectly righteous and perfectly just! He should be the center focus of any church.

Blasphemy is quite enjoyable and fun.
I know a lot of people who go to church and I also know of a lot of those Church leaders. Most are very good, pleasant and moral people. I never meet two people who had the exactly same beliefs. With 15 churches in a town of one square mile, why so many? Why doesn’t any two people have exactly the same beliefs?
There are minor theological differences then there are major. I have some concern on the minors as i see tendencies associated w them that dont seem like spiritual fruit. As far as i can tell, many denominations start based on the pride in some leader w a new slant on one of the minor differences and that is sad and unnecessary. Of course there are majors like justifying racism on Scripture when Scripture does not warrant this. There are others that are reprehensible to a post modern crowd, but there is nothing new. Christians were being killed just the first century of the church for their faith alone.
Anyway, i personally choose to adhere to a pretty tight Bible based truth as if i steer away, im steering the boat to what little me thinks and feels and that little aint much.
So thankyou for tapering the put downs of the “church” bc the church is people and ones whom i love and respect dearly.
Ahhhh. The infamous churchlady skit! Now i love this skit! The reason? Because it pokes fun at the greg that will tend to put on a front w attempt to appease God and others with my self righteousness, pomp and judgementalism. But the church should not consist of a tendency for such attitudes and behaviors. Instead, it consists of people who gave up on these feabile attempts and self righteous platitudes for instead finding identity in Another who came to die and save even self righteous sinners like me so that we could put on display the works of this One who fills these broken earthen clay pots for His glory! Yes He has rules to abide by. But they are given out of love and are not a burden when placed in the context of the privilege to return love to a King in obedience. King Jesus is His name Patrick. No need to perform “churchlady” to know Him! I know you dont believe in Him right now (that i know about anyway) but i KNOW that He loves you.
